Plover Bond

$24.00

Paper developed for typewriting and its related activity, erasing. This enticing copy, printed on a half band inside the box, proclaimed Plover Bond’s superior erasability:

“If you haven’t tried Keebord’s ERASABLE items, you’re in for a treat. ERASABLE Plover Bond and ERASABLE Plover Onion Skin are the only balanced erasable office papers—a balance of functional erasability and the crisp, clean quality demanded by discriminating business and professional people.”

White, with a prominent multi-line watermark (not localized)

Sheets: 10 of 8½ x 13 (2 inches longer than a standard letter sheet)

Weight: 20 lb

Fiber content: 25% cotton

Interestingly, this paper takes water without rippling, so it’s splendid for watercolour and a range of inks. It’s slightly toothy, but my Kawaco fountain pen and my micron pens took to it like, well, a plover to (shallow) water. Somehow the vellum-like surface also gives me a slow-down feeling.

Enveloped in a deluxe British glassine sleeve, swaddled in a sturdy cardboard envelope for an extra layer of protection. (Mails in an outer wrap of Tyvek, franked with real stamps. Frankly charming.)
