NEW | Donald Evans postcards
Twelve postcards with designs depicting stamps of several of the 42 fictional realms that Donald Evans invented, from Achterdijk to Yteke. The watercolour side is matte lustre, and the message side is uncoated, smooth to write (or doodle) on with the implements of your choice. Speaking of, we think some of these cards lend themselves (almost clamor) to being addressed and franked on the image side, which also leaves the entire back for your message—vaguement trompe l’oeil and very Griffin & Sabine!
Available singly or as a full dozen. The set is presented in a chic sleeve (so an envelope sans flap) we’ve hand-folded from the map-happiest of Cavallini papers. The sleeve has a tiny re-useable closure, covered in a bitsy of Japanese decorative paper. We are also including a Stellar Cambridge Imprint label for you to affix. The sleeve measures 5 x 7 when sealed (so it fits nicely in an A7). The set is too thick and rigid to mail as a letter but if you were inclined to give up your sleeve… you could mail it in an envelope with a postcard or two… or, boldly, as the envelope, with a washi-border closure…
Postcards measure: 4¼ x 6. May we mention that the current sailboats stamps (61¢) might float your philatelic boat? If your local Post Office is out, these are still available at usps.com.
Select your postcard(s) or set(s) from the drop-down menu below, by referring to the photos above. If you fancy having the complete set—the more the mail-ier—it’s a bit of a bargain. The same price as 12 cards, plus the hand-folded sleeve, plus the hand-covered clip, plus a stellar label. The inspiration, of course, is complimentary!
Wrapped in our complimentary signature style: white tissue, French embroidery thread & our favourite washi tape of the day.
