Are you ready to explore additional paper marbling designs? In this
3-hr workshop we will manipulate traditional suminagashi patterns on the surface of water with the use of different types of inks and additives resulting in interesting mono prints. Each paper is one of a kind.

Class topics include:
1.    Review of supplies and preparation
2.    The use of powdered moss
3.    Color additives
4.    Pattern manipulation with demos

Each student will increase their confidence and knowledge of suminagashi paper  marbling and leave with at least 10 beautiful images.

Class fee includes all materials we use to learn about Japanese contemporary paper marbling; Sumi-e papers, an assortment of brushes, inks, and a butchers tray.

Our studio is light-filled, airy, and organized. You are welcome to browse our extensive library of books about bookbinding, calligraphy, and drawing. We look forward to sharing our love of paper marbling with you in this three hour workshop!
